I just had a phone call from the federal police , my computer has been hacked by a gang from china, aparently the conduct some criminal activities thru it. If I don't give them access (FP) to it the computer ,they will come and arrest me. I told them that I was ready for them , all I need was my Pj, and tooth brush.Cheers
Great answer. Did you see what number it came from? I don't answer my landline anymore but my NBN modem records all incoming calls. Get a mixture of blank numbers, real numbers that are no longer active, and what appears to be a dodgy international number (long number starts with 0011).
Well 6 hrs later and Iam still at home waiting for them to take me away, had the gas and elect. disconnected ,hmm maybe they come at 3am and knock the door in , cheers
Our son-in-law says to them, "I'll just get the wife, hold on." Then he puts the phone right next to the radio, tunes in to the crackling noise between stations & turns the volume up fully.
When we get the calls about our 'Windows' having a problem, hubby says, "Great that you've called - I've just taken all the flyscreens off, ready for when you get here."

I told one person who said he was from Telstra that he'd actually called a internal Telstra help desk. On another occcasion I strung the guy along then said that I've kept him on the line long enough to get a trace done on his call. Both calls ended in a barrage of foul language.

Had my bank ring me about my account .. She was an Indian lady . Um ! The next day my card didn't work ! Lol it ACTUALLY was my BANK !! Lol I gave the phone to my son who asked what she was wearing ?? Lol Wouldn't want to know ! Wasn't the same lady at my bank when I visited next day.. Ahhh !! . She was Indian too !

I got a call from an Indian lady last week saying she was from Telstra and could I identify myself to continue the conversation. My reply was that she cold called me and I needed her to identify herself to me. Fortunately she could as she was replying to an NBN connection issue that I was having.
