My Seniors Card

Hi everyone,

Just having a gripe over my Seniors card.

I applied for my card on 28th March 2017 and was approved soon after. We left for WA on the 30th of March. Our son text me at Easter to say look what had arrived in the post dad. My Card, YEs!!!!

I am a senior smilesmilesmile. He attached a few photo's of it with the cards number so I could use as proof. Till it arrived.

So He forwarded the letter onto Exmouth WA P.O.

Never Arrived after 10 weeks.

So When we arrived home I applied for a replacement card on the 19th June, and Got an Email reply 2 days later, to say my request had been processed, and I would be  issued a replacement card with a new number.

Well I rang them to inquire as to when I might get the replacement card on Friday.

After waiting, waiting ,Waiting, Hullo how can I help you, My replacement card???????

Oh its been processed, You should get it in the next fewwwwww weeks.furiousfuriousfuriousfuriousfurious  Government Depts. Nothings changed. Rant over.

Jim

Seniors cards.

Hmmmmmm.
Try UK Pensions sometime.

You get it automatically regardless. If you worked over there for a while.

They sent me papers when I was 65.
Filled in. Started rec'ving around 4 months later (Backdated.).

Noe. Just to make it interesting.
My first wife. who worked till first child (23yrs)
Then looked after kids.

Got SAME %age as me. Dated from her 60th B'day. Yea????.
I paid the taxes.

NOW... Di. 5th gen Aussie.
We got married last yr. Was told to apply for HER on English Pension??
OK.. Fill in forms.

9 months later (Sorry. We "misplaced" them") Got informed.
YES. SHE will get UK pension as she married to me who worked there till 31 yrs.

BUT. Seeing as she Never worked or lived there.
SHE will get new Nat Assist Number generated.
Which will give her.
FULL 70 yr old Pension. from day of wedding.

Around 350ish, UK Pounds a WEEK. The lady says.

Great really.
But how do they figure that out.

Backdated till Sept last yr too.

And you reckon our lot are bad?????.
Coupla good bottles of Single Malt there hey.

A bit off topic but explaination where your card went. If you re-address mail using original envelope Australia Post will not deliver unless new postage stamps added. Neil
