Note sure who said it, but "Hugh Heffner was not a sex symbol but a symbol of sex".

I can remember as a primary school kid at the local swimming pool (early 60s) when a Playboy magazine did the rounds. Some kid had stolen his big brother's copy. Not a good day to be wearing budgie smugglers.
