Hi everyone. Searching the internet for suppliers of awning extensions with poles but can only seem to find suppliers from USA. Not looking at extensions for end of awning but only for the main part of the awning extending from the side of the caravan.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You are not very clear as to what you require. Are you wanting to extend the shade to the side of the awning from the roller out?
If so then construct the type of awning sheet that attaches to a sail track on the side of the van. This is a shet of canvas or vinyl awning material with a 6 mm rope sewn into one side and some eyelets on the other. You slide the rope side into the spare slot in the roller and support the other side with tent poles and ropes in the eyelets. any canvas manufacturer can make it up for you.

You could consider buying a tarp, to suit your needs. Then you will need to have one side cut off and then sew a suitable rope to this end so as to slip into the slot ( track) on the awning pole. Then purchase the necessary extension poles and ropes.
We purchased a large 5 x 5 metre shade cloth via the ebay and cut in half and then had a sail maker sew the required rope to each cut side. This was great for the awning extension, and the other half we attach via a track to the off side of the van to protect the fridge from the summer heat.
If you wish PM me your phone No for more indepth explanation.
Ok...got it. PeterD ....yes. That is what I am planning. I know they sell them in the US. I was hoping to find them as an accessory here is Australia. It seems like I buy an appropriate shade and have it modified.
I have attached an image of the item as they sell it in the US.
Thanks again for your advice everyone.

When we started experementing with our awnings we did as Jay & Dee did, only the navigator used my old sewing machine with a zipper foot and sewed the 6 mm rope into the edge of cut down cheap tarps. When we got things as we liked them we went to a canvas/tent maker. They have good 2.5 meter wide material that makes the awings much neater than modifying something. We used to ask what but ends/end of roll suitable material they had and got it much cheaper that way. Go to a canvas maker with your design and get a quote, you are under no oblogation to accept the quote.

Yes, we and others we know use the front privacy screen, put it out on some poles and ropes, and you have extra shade, and a much larger area for seating.

We have been using shade screens - one for the side and one for an end. They certainly make an immediate effect on the temp under the awning.
When it rains we reduce the angle of the screen. There seems to be a sweet spot or angle where the most of the rain runs off and doesnt go through the mesh.
I can not recall if I have mentioned this here before.
We now also attach a med size tarp that attaches to the van just above the roll out awning cylinder.
Attach the tarp first .... it will drop down and when you extend the awning the tarp will roll out also. Then just using poles and guy ropes ensure that the tarp is at least 30 em above the awning to provide a wind tunnel and I can assure you that it will drastically reduce the heat under the van awning.Cost should be no more than $50.
I was just talking to my wife recently about doing that same thing Jay&Dee !! You can really feel the heat coming through the awning by itself ..... good to hear it works well ( sort of like a canvas version of double glazing, only better as the air isn't trapped between)
check these out https://www.4wdsupacentre.com.au/products/awnings/adventure-kings-awning-wall-2-5.html
I picked one of these up but am yet to use it.
They have the velcro hooks on one end and the sail track thingy on the other.
I figure i can use in on the side using the velcro or to extend outwards if needed using the awning track.
Not sure if this would suit your needs or not.
I'm unsure if the ones at supercheap and the like are the same or not.
We have 2 of these. Sail track attached to the front and back of the van, means we can have shelter either end for sitting or using the Weber. We also put our shade wall out on poles for extra shade.
