I understand that you are referring to the Media Release by G-WM to the Country News newspaper for release and publication during the recent school holiday period in the region.

The "unnamed" official at G-WM I spoke with is Mr Richard Bryce, Communications Manager. I guess you have difficulty accepting information unless it is attached to a 'named official'.

There is NO repeat NO signage anywhere near, around, or outside the recreaction/camping area stipulating ANY restrictions - irrespective of what the by-law and the media release allude to. There is NO intention, plan or desire by G-WM to enforce any of the exhaustive stipulations contained within the by-law.

The intention of the media release (and subsequent publication in the Country News) was to 'remind' people (those 'locals') to utilise common sense in what becomes a very crowded camping area at this time of year - stretched to its capacity in many ways.

Having said all that. Let us too apply 'common sense' ... something 'travellers' to Green Lake actually do.

When you are next there Kebbin, simply camp as you would at any watercourse campsite and adhere to the 'common sense' advice of G-WM and any other authority of watercourses in this country and camp 20 metres from "landward of full supply level of the lake" - be aware that is NOT the existing waterline. Disperse your grey water in a sensible manner - just like those who are frequent 'travellers' and who often avail themselves of the generosity of the G-WM and enjoy an extended stay.
