Sick of having to crawl under the van to drain the tanks

To drain my water tanks I've had to lay on the road and roll under the van to open the taps.

My solution, $24 of bits from the Big Green Shed and I can do it from a standing position biggrin

Well thought and achieved Kendo - why do they make things so difficult to get at?

Great idea, and maybe also add some sort of shield as well, to protect 2 tanks full of water.

Designed by people who are half the age of the people who will mostly use it.

What I see there is an invitation for some rascals to drain your tanks at the most inappropriate time. Could I suggest you replace that tap with something like one of these:

Kinetic 15mm Chrome Lockable 1/4 Turn Hose ****

or Kinetic 20mm Rough Brass Vandal Proof Garden Tap

Bloody hell !!!!! I have just bought a replacement tap for mine. I was just going to screw it in and put a shield to stop stones hitting it. I think I will now do exactly what you have done. Brilliant idea. Cheers. Col P
