Friend of ours was working at the games in one of the kiosks and called round to tell us about the experience and show us her collection of place location badges - metal badges with different countries name etc.. Apparently the participants were encourages to swap them with people from other Commonwealth countries so that after the Games they have a pretty neat memento.
I asked our friend if the participants were supplied with the badges or did they have to supply their own and she explained that they were each supplied with 20 badges with their countries name plus 40 condoms.
Not sure what this means but I really feel I was born in the wrong generation.
