Since one of us was diagnosed with Follicular Lymphoma,One of us has it the other one assists in every way he can
to make it easier. The Oncologist gave us 6 months before the next check up.So we are up and moving again.
We left Boronia(Melbourne) 6 days ago, and wandered northwards. All was tickety boo until today. Refuelled at Gundiwindi and thought that the van looked a little
out of kilter.(Don't you love these technical terms). Checked all that I could and it seemed Ok. Pulled into Moonie for lunch and checked all again and found the
passenger side wheel pressed hard up against the front of the housing and quite hot. So off with the wheel (after jacking it up) and found the front eye of the spring had broken .
Went into the Moonie Hotel to see what could be done in relation to getting this fixed. The lady behind the counter was so helpful and rang the local mechanics.
Both were out of town,so she recommended Luke, a welder by trade, he wandered over and it was decided that it could be welded properly and then we could go to Dalby
tomorrow and get a new leaf installed. So we are staying the night. Luke was so helpful and obliging and did a fantastic job we are really grateful that he was on site today. I pulled the spring off eventually and after welding the spring, he put the whole thing back together for me, and tightened every thing up really tightly.
Our thoughts wandered back to the trip up from Gundi, what would we do if this had happened before we got to Moonie? Perish the thought.
So tomorrow we go to Dalby to see if a new leaf can be installed. Luke gave us 3 numbers to call.
I will pop in tomorrow night to advise how we went.
Safe Travels

Further to yesterdays mishap, we moved onto Dalby and visited a place that looked like it would be appropriate.
Unfortunately not to be, but he drew me a mud map on where two places to go were. We went to the first one,B&B Fabricationns.
Belinda was the receptionist and after my explanation called Jason over, after crawling under the van said he'd ring another company
and after some technical discussion they said one was available. So while Belinda went off to get the spring Jason assigned one of
his workers to pull the old one off.I have a trailermate jack and it raised the van high enough to work easily on everything and in no time at all
all was dismantled, praise was given to the work Luke did in welding the spring. There was surprise that the eye had broken where it did, hadn't been seen before.
Belinda returned with the spring, springs were checked to ensure they were the same size and dimensions. All ok, the new one was installed promptly. They did the work
promptly and pleasantly, dropping whatever tasks that were being done. Fantastic service from Jason,Belinda and crew.We arrived around 10.am and left at around 11.15am.
The price was pretty good as well. We are so grateful for these great people. We have arrived in Bell, having wended our way through the horrific roadworks in Dalby.
