BIG day for me yesterday. Eldest son Mark been extremelly busy with the Ballarat Heritage Weekend as he is an events manager with the Ballarat City Council, the weekend was last weekend. He and his wife have two of our Grandkids, Edwin 3 and Mia one.
He was able to take a couple of days in lieu so we suggested Eril and I take the van an hour north to the Avoca caravan park. We left around 11 with Mark coming with me and the van with his wife and the kids. Stopped at Lexton so that Mark could have his first van towing lesson. He went well and we arrived at the park and I was able to get a drive through site, all good.
Now, Eril and I have never used the annex and the previous owner had never erected the annex. After emptying the bag of annex goodies we found no instructions so it was common sence AND a few jobs done out of sequence. A bunch of amateurs most, who like me, do not like to be told/advised.
Eventually we had it erected and the van functional. So had coffee at a lovely bakery, and came home via the the family that has our other two Grandies. Well Pa was pretty stuffed by this time.
This will be home for the next few days. Glad to get away after a huge couple of weeks , spend some quality time with the family and just unwind. Huge thanks to Paul Bruty and Eril Bruty for lending us their home away from home and the assistance to set it up.
