Much better than the PC crap we have today. He knew what he wanted so wouldn't have had 500 applicants for the job and have to go through all the rubbish to get what he wanted.
Very soon the way the PC Police are going we won't even know if the applicant is male or female with the Gender free crap.
some people that have their heads buried in the sand and want to live in the past would be dead if not for medical advancement, cant have it both ways ya know

I love the ad, and fully understand how the current PC world makes advertising for personnel a 'little' difficult in the actual wording one can use.
However, if Mr Purcell had simply completed his ad with "Applicants must demonstrate applied experience and work history with at least three references" rather than -
No drunks, drongoes, synthetic Yanks, Queen St ringers, Pommies, New Australians or other foreigners need apply.
Indeed, some experienced people may have been deterred by his peremptory exclusions.
But, then the ad would have lost its 'flavour'.
