If you're anywhere near Forbes in the next few days, you've got a chance to see some unique NSW Police history. Based on the Forbes police Diaries of Duties and Occurrences of the 1860s, this exhibition explores just how hardy and courageous our early police force was. In the words of the local Senior Constable Daniel Greef, When we think about that time, so often its the bushrangers who are glorified. This is an opportunity to show who the real heroes are.
The exhibition closes this Sunday 10 Feb, and is on at the Platypus Gallery, 111 Lachlan St, Forbes. (The exhibition is also a fundraiser for NSW Police Legacy, if you needed further incentive!)
