Pajero room in rear under sliding cabinet

We are looking at fitting a drawer in the rear of our pajero, similar to this: https://www.4wdsupacentre.com.au/products/rear-drawers.html

The question is that under the drawer are the rear fold down seats which we don't need and are happy to remove. Has anyone seen a rear drawer or system that allows us to use the space where the folded down seats are for general storage?

I've only seen Pajero people take the drawer out and then able to access the void under neath.

I have a 2017 Pajero and certainly have those seats removed and use that area for storage.

I made up my own table that locks into the mechanisms that also lock down the seats when they are in place, this also has a drop down fridge slide mounted on the top of the shelf. While it can be removed easily enough, I don't usually bother.

There was a fellow on the Pajero Club of Victoria Public Forum doing a commercial version of a similar set up. https://www2.pajeroclub.com.au/forum/ , though there are many other type/sorts shown also.

My setup allows general access to the space, simply by folding up the standard cover, though I have seen others that have made up alternate 2 and 3 piece covers. Sometimes however I also slip other items under the table (folding camp tables, chairs, butane burner etc.) these then may impede access with the standard floor in place.

The issue with drawers is that of access, as to gain access, the drawer really needs to be removed.

Thanks Sarco, sounds interesting, would you have a picture? What height is the table top ?

tonyob,

Check link:

at the bottom of the page.

If I was making mine again, I would change the frame slightly and also raise the height of the shelf to just above the side mouldings over the wheel arches. This allows better storage below, and doesn't impact the fridge slide (drop down).
