Travelling and gardening

Anyone grow spuds/veggies or even herbs when on the road? Either at a certain location or even in the back of a ute? Is this possible? Maybe with removable boxes or something.. When i camp i do stay in one spot for a week or 2 I love growing my own food so id love to take my gardening on the road

Goreckiii, quarantine zones don't necessarily coincide with state borders. Zones are set up to protect critical regions and can be temporary to control potential outbreaks. Even if you wait for a spud crop to mature, you might not be able to travel into a zone with your produce. I've thought about taking plants with me but haven't committed to the idea yet. https://www.interstatequarantine.org.au/travellers/quarantine-zones/

Try growing a few sprouts.

Easy, light weight & good tucker.

We usually have cuttings of Greek Basil in water that lasts for weeks.

A bag of potting mix with holes punched in it will grow any seedlings you like, as it is not rigid it travels reasonably well, also you can re use the mix several times, ideally suited for quick growing greens and the odd herb.

Cheers Paul
