Some months ago I installed a diesel heater under the seat. The other day, I noticed the outside wood of the seat getting extremely hot. Purchased a special insulating sleeve, but when I opened up the seat, the problem was the outlet tubing had come off the outlet, so under the seat was like a heat chamber. Installed the insulating sleeve as well as securing the tube to the outlet and all is quite cool now.
I used my daughters cast off UGG boots to insulate the tubing on ours, works a treat. I cut off the shoe part and just used the tubes, sheeps wool quite fire proof and a good insulator.
We had the same thing happen within a week of installing the diesel heater, made the area under the bed real toasty warm  It seems the plastic on the outlet deforms a bit in the heat and releases the tension on the clamping of the tube, and it comes off. Had to reshape the pipe to get it back over the plastic outlet section so the clamp must have been fairly tight. Anyway, all good now, very impressed with the Chinese made unit bought from Evil Bay, it works a treat. If the hose comes off again I'll put a self taping screw through the pipe and the plastic outlet so that should keep it from sliding off again.
