It seems very much as though he is a trophy for his parents to put on show and now the uni won't do what they want they have, in a tantrum, withdrawn him from uni.
I suspect this boy will grow up to be a very confused and probably damaged adult, poor little devil.

I feel for the child, it seems to me he won't have had a childhood, and all that is, in growing through the different stages of ages, possibly living the life the parents wanted for themselves.
It will be interesting to hear what he turns out like in another 10 years or so.
