The grandies and myself enjoying the beach at sunset. Bribie island. A holiday spent building sand castles and enjoying each others company. Grandies frolicking and swimming in the surf with their boards while mum, grandad and i joyfully watch on. watching the pure joy in their little faces as they get their kite to fly. hearing the sound of the surf, seeing seagulls flying high on a beautiful blue sky day And the grandies trying to catch them. Life is good.

A favourite & regular holiday destination in our child hood days, when we were about the age of your Grand Children. We often used the old steamer the SS Kooper to get there.
We have just spent a couple of days at a friend's place at Sandstone Point overlooking the Passage, Skirmish Point & over to Moreton Is. A magic spot to retire to. Their usual shopping destination & golf course (4days/week!!) is on Bribie.
Dougwe, yes. He has endless patience when it comes to sand castle building.
radar. Thats true.
cupie, agree. A beautiful place. Spent some of my childhood there too at the bongaree caravan park. Read queensland tsunami modelling recently and now not so keen to retire there.
