COVICD-19 is not "flu", but the similarities with what happened then and what will happen now is not lost.
Cheers,
Peter

The thing is what information do you trust? Read any of the main stream media and you get lots of conflicting information. Our daughter and her husband are both teachers. Daughter in public high school and husband in snobby private school. The husband thinks teachers know best. Daughter says medical know best. Husband says schools should be closed. Daughter says follow the medical advice. Friend is now locking herself inside. She is scared witless. Sisterinlaw also thinks she is bound to get the virus. Both have "strange" interpretations of the news headlines. Point is that IMHO the media is sensationalizing everything for a headline. That is caring the $#@% out of many people. That's why they bought tiolet paper. Everyone needs to calm down. Be sensible. Don't take undue risks. And most importantly listen to the medical advice not news readers.

Totally agree. I had to stop watching news and news alerts when did it change news update to news alert. sick of seeing it on fb n not watchin* news on internet anymore. Once a day is enough. Lets all keep in touch on here n keep each others spirits up. Cheers everyone.

I mostly just have the radio on , "triple j" don't like the rap songs , try to ignore them , no adds , and pretty upbeat . Hope to be heading out bush in the next couple of days , still pick it up on Satellite . If they do not shut the roads .

That was an interesting read Angie. Thank you for the link.

Although 100 years ago the circumstances and actions appear to be very similar.
The only difference today is that we are bombarded with so called news broadcasts which in many cases arent actually accurate and are based more towards sensationalism.

Well worth reading the article.
