The military to our defence.

During our traumatic fire season, I saw a number of army transport trucks 2.5 or 3 tonners driving around, Uni-Mog type of things. T thought it would be a good idea to have made, lift on fire fighting modules, and be able to quickly convert these to fire fighting trucks. Training squads of soldiers in the art of fire fighting. I mean we the people have paid for the gear and are paying their wages, why not, it would nicely supplement our fire service.

I hear you say that is not their job, but their job is the defense of Australis. The point is that fire has been used as a military weapon since time began, and if I were to launch an attack on Australia, I would do it during the summer months and use fire as the weapon. So I think the military being prepared for this would be a good thing.

Many years ago, I was chatting to a Doctor friend of ours, and I asked "How do we know that viruses aren't alien's" he said we don't, doing a search on the net, I find that countries have set up special research groups to explore this possibility. if this was the case, it could be argued that we are now having WW3, further our defenses were woefully down.

These are just pondering thoughts for discussion.

if our fire seasons were as bad as this last one ,every year. we would adjust our services accordingly this year was extraordinary.
we have adapted our services as the need arose the army was not actually fighting fires they where doing the other jobs to compliment the fireies
to let them do their job more efficiently, the same thing would probably happen in the event of another disaster of an unprecedented nature.
at the moment the army is assisting the police in various ways, but they are not arresting people or doing criminal investigations

anything is possible most of the sy-fi flicks that have aliens attacking earth are brought undone by a virus like the common cold .

when the white man discovered america they brought viruses with them that the local people had no immunity to with devastating results

then you had "MY FAVORITE MARTIAN " and ALF who fitted in reasonably well

I would rather be "Data" he (it) doesn't get viruses. Anyway Dougwe, I don't believe you, maybe you have one of their transporters, or we could just be beamed up, because it would be in orbit, too big for your mates back yard.
