Mini Rissoles braised in Bacon and Onion Gravy

I dont know if this meal came out of the depths of my memory or I just made it up I went along.

Walnut size Rissoles.

Mince meat 300 grams, 1/2 an onion finely diced, teaspoon of curry powder and mixed herbs, 1/4cup crushed corn flakes,1 egg, a splash of whoster sauce, salt and pepper.

combine all and make walnut sized rissoles.

Brown in a non stick frypan, then transfer to casserole dish.

Using the frypan which the meat was browned

1/2 onion rough chopped, clove of garlic, and a rasher of bacon chopped, heat until onions are tranlucent, then add a tablespoon of plain flour and mix in, after its all combined stir in 1/2 can of beer.

Pour gravey mix over the rissoles place in oven at 180 deg for approximatly 20-30 minutes basting and turning occasionally

Serve your choice of vegetable or pasta ( we had crushed jacketed potatoes with peas and beans.

Thanks Gundog. My take on your recipe:

Three fat sausages

1 Onion chopped

1 Bacon chopped

1 clove garlic chopped

2 white potatoes

1/2 can beer

1/2town curry powder

1teaspoon mixed herbs

1 Tablespoon flour

Part cook sausages in oil, and put aside

Cook bacon, onion and garlic in same pan.

Chop sausages into fork size pieces and return to pan with curry and herbs Stir in flour. Add beer stir to make nice gravy. Add more beer or just drink it, add water as necessary. Cut potatoes into bite size pieces. Allow to simmer on cook top or in camp oven for 30 minutes.

Now I need to try it with your walnut size rissoles.

Cheers
