I believe that the Golf Courses that are open around Australia have to date seen their revenue increase by some 25% to 30%as against the same period last year. ( Note I am referring to game fees and of course the sales via the proshop. Here in Qld the golf Clubhouse is off limmits.
2 people per group. Only one person per electric kart ... unless family.
No social gatherings before or after the game. Just hop in your car and head home after the game.
Shame on the State of Victoria for not allowing the golfing community the opportunity to partake in the sport and to also enjoy the exercise that it offers. ( Not sure re W.Aust current golfing rules during this Chinese Virus.)
Most of the courses around here are open as well JayDee although some will only allow members on, all of them have pretty tight distancing rules including packing the cup with foam so its easier to get your ball without handling the flag stick, removing the rakes from bunkers, one person to a cart, closing the clubhouse etc. To tell you the truth the social distancing rules don't make that much difference to me because I seem to spend most of my time in the bush and being a left hander it will usually be on the opposite side of the course to everyone else . Not sure what the thinking is behind the Victorian government's decision to ban people from playing golf but at the moment what they choose to do north, south or even west of the NSW border doesn't really impact me..
Cheers
