Back when I was a kid of 5 yo, I had a black and white sheep dog, his name was Bimbo, dad got him for me, as a companion, when I was just 3 as I was the only boy in the family. He was supposed to by just my pet, but dad found that he like to work as a sheep dog, so on our farm, he would take him out for the day working. I did not like this, so I developed a whistle for him. I told dad, that when 3.30 came along, I will whistle him home, and that is what I did, every day. He could hear me from a mile away, and would come running. Dad could not stop him. Bimbo and I lived together in the back enclosed verander as he, Bimbo, was not allowed in the house proper. Bimbo got a lot of baths at that time. Today I cannot whistle as have falsies. But on one call My current and most loyal dog, Milo, comes running, and sleeps my bed as well. I do thank my Dad though, for starting my love for dogs, and except for sometime in my life of about 5 years, have never been without a dog in my 61 years.
