Sadly, very sadly, SC I think recent C19 related events have indicated that statement is no longer as true as once it was.

To put this into some perspective NSW is regarded by Qld health as a hotspot even though only 4 new cases of covid were reported in the state yesterday. One was community transmitted and quickly traced back to a known source, 3 were returning overseas travellers coming into Sydney (which is still shouldering most of this burden). To be honest I am one who has been critical of decisions made at both Federal and State governments levels but no way would I ever support anyone being threatened regardless of their position or the calls that they make. The best way to show our displeasure is at the ballot box.

Angie as far as I know you don't know this family and have no idea of their circumstances so isn't it a little ordinary to make insinuations about them on social media in order to support a point of view.. You can't tell me its something that you either read or heard about in the media because Mr T as you have already said that you don't believe anything that the media says.

 Hi BB,

If you are referring to my part of the post....

9A04BC62-903D-465B-875A-7069CE0BAF76.jpeg

Then I did say IF.

I just wonder why now the mum has stopped the children travelling.

I think it extremely upsetting that a mother of children can be so nasty as to stop the kiddies visiting their Dad.

What now happens to the Go Fund Me money, I certainly hope that Mum doesnt get it.

BB, you and I will never know the true reasons but the media was quick to castigate the Qld Govt but when it was all put in place then did the. mainstream media report that....no they didnt.

If the mother wasnt going to let them go then why the beat up on Qld. and its ministers.

As I have observed SA WA NT and Tas all have very similar entry rules so why the reports only on QLD?

Without bringing politics into it I can see no other reason.

To put this in perspective BB, you are quoting todays case figures on the restrictions place on NSW and VIC from over a month ago. Why dont we all wait and see what does actually happen with border closures in the next couple of weeks, because whatever happens there will need to be in place controls for the self entitled people who will lie and cheat just to get into Qld and for the record, the other states as well.

And last but not least...who is Mr T? Have I missed something I said?

Regards

Angie

Angie who do you know that likes to fob off mainstream media reports by branding them as being 'fake news' or biased reporting ?  Casting aspersions on someone's character then justifying it by saying I  said  "if" or "that's what others are saying" is another trait that the person uses (name starts with a T and ends with a P).  I said before my criticism is not directed towards Qld or any other state about borders closures, my concern is around the inflexibility and the apparent lack of compassion shown towards fellow Australians by government appointed bureaucrats - no doubt there will be lots of differing opinions on that. I'm sure that when this crisis is over there are going to be a lot of reviews and soul searching carried out by all governments on what they did well and what they could have been done better.

By the way I said what you wrote about that family was a little ordinary because no one needs to have their character put into question on social media..

Thank you for clearing that up BB.
I didnt call a mainstream report fake news as you suggest but rather tried to make the point that after the beat up on Qld by the mainstream media about children travelling to see their Dad there was hardly a report about the mothers decision not to permit the children to see their dad. Probably more based on custody ruling but I am only speculating.

The health minister in Qld has had death threats and has had to have police guarding her...... thats not fake news either.

It is unfortunate fact.

If the media showed the compassion that is being demanded by some of the general public then we would all be in a better place.
I really do wonder what happened to the Go Fund Me money?

There is obviously a lot more to this story than meets the eye but the media are all of a sudden, struck down with silence.
For the sake of not wanting myself to be likened to Mr Trump I will let it go.

Regards

Angie

I've avoided this thread for personal reasons but couldn't resist.

Just a thought. It might be that the mum is thinking of the kids memory down the track. Meaning, she might prefer the kids to remember their dad as he was, not is. Just a thought on my part.

Why I say just a thought is, the last time I saw my son was at the Melbourne Coroner with tubes all over him and down his throat. Unfortunately that memory lives with me and more that likely will forever and a day.

Please,

Keep Safe on the roads and out there.

A bit more information has come to light. If I have interpreted the story correctly

It was not the Queensland Premier, but the Queensland's Chief Health Officer, Dr Jeannette Young, who makes the decisions on border exemptions

This lady, who has been the Queensland Chief Health Officer, for nearly 10 years, is now receiving death threats, while doing her job

I just hope that the police catch every single person, who has been sending her death threats

Quote from the article

President of the Australian Medical Association Queensland, Chris Perry, told Channel 9 the threats and public criticism were quite toxic.

Jeannette Young has now a couple of police outside her house who go with her everywhere, Dr Perry said.

He said Dr Young had been getting over 100 requests for exemptions per day, all of which she had been answering herself before she received extra staff to assist with her workload.

So she was working from 5:00am in the morning until 9:00pm or 10:00pm at night, it was quite hard work, Dr Perry said.

It has been quite stressful and it hasn't been helped by cowardly people threatening to take the life of a woman.

It looks like they have caught a man, who had threatened to kill both the Queensland Premier, and Queensland Chief Health Officer

I can only say.

"It could not have happened to a better man"

Talk about grounds for a conspiracy theory. This was put forward as part of the World Economic Forum plan very early in the pandemic that has come true. Next thing they said was take away as many civil rights as possible but at the end of the pandemic don't give them all back. The plebs will be pleased with what they get and elect them back into power. We'll see how that goes eh?

You can bet your bottom dollar that the Qld Government is doing more damage than the dreaded Co-vid 19.

Fancy that Medical Officer saying that the 400 AFL Celebrities and Good old Tom Hanks and his entourage is more important than the average citizen because they bring $$$$$$  to our State.

.

As the saying goes.

What is the difference between a Politician and a babies nappy.

A.  They both need to be changed very regularly ...

Especially the dirty nappy of the Politician.

Bring on the Election next month

Jay&Dee
