Our Gladys has said today that "Us Border Residents" will see Covid 19 cases as a result of the travel restrictions being eased. Now anyone within the Border Bubble of NSW & Vic can travel between states without any reason but still need a permit. There appears to have been no new cases for a long period of time in any new bubble areas even down to Benalla and North to Lockhardt. So, could one assume they are going to break Dan's Ring of Steel around Melbourne, RAIN forecast for a few days, so mad Melburnians will take advantage of a lack of checking, as Police are not sufficiently protected at these checkpoints when it rains.
"Without any reason but still need a permit" Don't you need a reason for a permit.
What are you on about.
I am getting sick to death of the wingers on this forum who don't seem to be able to cope with the restrictions and just get on with life until the outbreaks are fully under control. I don't want to die because some idiot is not happy to abide by the rulings of the various chief medical officers of the state because they seem to think they know better than they do.
It has been a pain with the permit system, the reasons for travelling were very restrictive, we have a property in the bubble area of nsw and reside in vic, until yesterday I was required to go there on my own which worried my wife that I was working alone with risks involved. Normally my wife would come with me and we would stay a few days. The new permit system allows for my wife to come with me which is much better.

No it's very Australian. Look after your mates. Make sure you are not inadvertently affecting someone. Stop whinging, obey the rules and we will get over this.

Cest la Covid, thanks China
Morning Craig,
I'm now a resident in the border bubble so I could slip across the border and bring a bucket full of VIC germs with me if you like

Spot on.
I'm on another forum, ,( not van related ) unbelievable the winging, name calling and arguments. Several threads have been locked and a couple deleted completely. They all think they know better than the experts. Does my head in.
Sone how they think that we can do same as Sweden, UK & US and magically we will have fewer deaths.

This might surprise you MSG but the vast majority of us don't think there is anything to protest about. Keep your head down, stay home, and this will all be over one hell of a lot quicker in my opinion. As for sheeple I would have to wonder who is leading who by the nose. Landy

In life it is important to know when to stop arguing with people
and simply let them be wrong.
Good evening Chief, you I would trust. My point was that earlier in the Pandemic, Gladys was ready to move the NSW Border North to Wagga Wagga. Local Police were briefed on this. She was prepared to abandon Albury and NSW surrounds to Victoria and it's appalling numbers. After Dan's Ring of Steel mostly worked, she has now opened the Bubble, BUT says that we should expect infections somehow. I feel we are still the mince in the hamburger.

If it is the forum I am also on, those 2 people got banned for it. Got quite personal & surprised it was allowed to go on for as long as it did.

If it hade been suggested to move the Albury border closure south into Vic then it most probably would have eased any inconvenience by residents and workers in Albury Wodonga. With a bit of thought moving checkpoints at many border crossings with Vic could have made it a lot easier for many.
Then at the other border with Qld Anna suggested to move the check point south but Gladys would not have a bar of it. It was openly stated by the media that her refusal was based on politics rather than common sense.
Now for all the Angie bashers on here, these were not my words but how it was reported by the media.
It is a shame if in fact these border closure points were rejected due to politics.
It must be terrible for those thousands of people that live on these borders.
It was reported early on, that NSW wouldn't consider a buffer zone with Qld. The words reported were something like "we won't spend a cent". Qld actually requested it several times. That buffer zone would have made life easier and simpler for many more NSW residents than Qld residents and we probably wouldn't see the media hype on embattled border businesses and NSW residents needing urgent healthcare. People who are critical of Qld Premier playing politics seem happy to ignore NSW Premier doing exactly the same. If you think Qld has overplayed the need for border restrictions, start reading Tasmanian comments on the possibility of Tassie lowering entry requirements. They don't want a bar of it. Similarly WA residents don't want free flowing borders yet Even country Vic residents are concerned whether they are at risk from Melbourne and other regions in their own state.

By your criteria I am a sheeple, well if being a sheeple means staying safe and trying to keep others safe then I am happy for the description. Seems to me MSG that you posess a very big spoon and are quite happy to use it.
BTW I like the way that you describe your own comments as "un Australian. Sort of defeats your purpose somewhat?????
