I will also add that we are part of the problem often buying the cheapest option rather than spending a bit extra & buying quality. Often now it is extremely difficult if not impossible to buy an alternative.

Not much pride in our country among the younger generation, more a case of what's in it for us and how can we tear down/denigrate things held dear by older Australians.

Mind you this is nothing new, over 2000 years ago Socrates said.

The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers.

How true, now there is a lesson for the young.

 And yes, I guess I like many others are guilty of buying some of the Cheap Chinese products.

But what I so upset about is the amount of Aussie Real Estate and companies that we have left the Chinese take control of.

 Absolutely agree...and it is primarily those members of the "we want it now" generation,with no reasoning skills,who allowed this to happen.For years I consoled my self that,although the Chinese may own our farms,shipping the produce to China would be managed by forbidding them from using  our ports.But then someone ...obviously not the brightest star in the sky...decided that it would be a good idea to let the Chinese control the Port of Darwin! Spare me.It is surely concerning that these sorts of clowns are given authority to do these things? Cheers

Most of Australia that China owns is shipped out in bulk carriers, and returned in shipping containers, at a very much higher value.
