Face masks in Sydney are the new Christmas decoration for NSW Health

It ticks both of us off. If you want covid -19 you have got it. Blue paper, Pink paper masks discarded on foot paths, gutters and hanging on Nature strip trees. What is local Councils doing about it. A Big Fat ZERO.

We are ALL going to be locked down again.

Stop IT NOW. Where is that Bloke from advertising. Get the message out. FiNE every person who drops one $500 per mask dropped.

We could pick up 100's without trying. Makes us sick in the guts.

O and G this is the new norm mate. Do what you want when you want to and don't give a s--- about anyone else. I really fear that we are heading into a whole new ball game now. A lot of the values that made this country great seem to be dissipating at a great rate. It has taken Covid 19 to make me realise the extent of the me, me, me movement the utter selfish disregard for others who are trying to toe the line. It will be interesting to see what happens tonight around the country. Call me a cynic if you like but I can't see the selfish buggers doing anything else but what they have done on previous NY eve.

When I put some rubbish in our block of units common garbage bins I am regularly presented with face masks.

A least they are in the bin, but they are exposed to everyone else.

You could set an example for others and pick them up.

We could pick up 100's without trying. Makes us sick in the guts.

That would be a very foolhardy thing to do for anybody not equipped with all the appropriate ppe , and a silly suggestion

Maybe you should have told that to Ian Kiernan.

Every day I do an 8km walk along the foreshore of our beautiful Lake Macquarie between Eleebana & Speers Point as do a great many others especially during the summer holidays. The foreshore parks are full of people having picnics, walking their dogs, cycling, skiing, fishing, boating or just sitting around enjoying the view, sometimes I see a few people wearing masks but in my observation the vast majority don't. Fortunately I haven't seen used masks just being thrown on the ground, occasionally an empty beer bottle left there by some drunk heading home from the pub the previous night. Maybe its a city thing in the areas where the covid is currently a higher risk such as on the northern beaches - I can understand why you would be disgusted about it especially the potential bio hazard for the people who have to pick them up.

I do believe that he advocated strongly to use PPE and many places provided it, at least they did where I went.
