Thank you. Reading the book made me realize how good we have it here when retired compared to the good old USA.

Just obtained the book - will do a review when I've read it.

I saw the movie last week.

Not sure how to react to it, i was somewhat depressing, and i was thinking this was going to be me in 18 months time.

I truly hope my life on the road is not like that.

It does demonstrate the comraderie and friendships that are formed along the way though, and i am looking forward to the social aspect of traveling.

I am glad i will be travelling here, with a decent rig, and a few bucks to back me up.

I have seen/read film/book yet but from reviews I think I have the gist.

I guess a major difference is this woman was pretty much forced to live on the road by circumstance whereas I think most on this forum have made a positive choice to so do.

I have been a nomad for 2.5 years and have been having a great time; I'm happy and feel free and unencumbered by most of the issues which caused me problems when I lived in a house. Fortunately money is not a big issue for me but I suspect if one were living hand-to-mouth it would not be as much fun but then... that's the case whether ones home is a mansion or a caravan.
