Steamed damper

Hi was watching Free range Sailing on YouTube. In one episode they made a damper by steaming with it salt water in a vegetable steamer tray and small pot and lid, cooked for about 15 - 20 minutes. It did look well cooked and delicious. Had honey and sultanas and milk. Has anyone tried this method I had not seen it done before and nothing on Google. Cheers Stewart

Hi Stewart, I think it would work very well,I have not made bread in the steamer but we do make sensational steamed Muffins when on the road, they are not only moist and yummy but they keep very well without going stale. Regards Gig.
