Motorised pivot? Note single break-away chain attachment to vehicle, a box trailer perhaps? USA origins? Useless piece of SH!T, definitely.

Chief........Nice bit of equipment to protect a caravan from a harshly sprung (truck etc..) tow vehicle.

Exactly right,Kerry.Similar piece of equipment available here in Australia by Airglide Towbars, but there undoubtedly are others. As you say, they are designed to minimise the risk of heavily sprung trucks shaking a towed caravan to pieces. Cheers

I think the hitch pictured is behind a Chamberlain tractor towing a "caravan" in Qld..

Hadn't noticed that, but Orange paint, and tractor tyres, plus the towball mounted on top of a tractor towbar shank would suggest that you're correct.Cheers.

I think everyone should have a WDH Doug, whether they need it or not. When you are not towing you can use them for fixing the awning!

I reckon it's ok! Shock preventer (could have shade one of those on an earlier boat trailer). I'd like to see a full picture before I cast judgement.

Possum, it's better than what we saw in England - none of them had chains at all, relying on the break-away cord!!

Where did you get the picture from Doug? A foreign (European) caravan magazine?

There is a young bloke doing a part lap raising money and it is part of his set up. He goes by the name of 'The Travelling Jackaroo'. I think he is on facebook. He is from Maleny in QLD. A bloke around that area makes them.
