If this story is true (I have no reason to doubt this media outlet)
The snip says it much better than I could
The highly contagious Delta strain of COVID-19 infected everyone who attended a Sydney birthday party except for the six people who were vaccinated, the NSW Government said.
It could mean that the anti vaxxers, (I am thinking of those protesting/sending out flyers etc, etc, can now have a holiday
It would be interesting to find out which vaccine these people had
That was my thought when I first heard this statement.
"I can also advise that six health workers who attended the party, who were fully vaccinated, not one of those people has been infected."
I'm thinking that they received Pfizer, since that was the vaccine that was offered to health workers. I would think that if they had received AZ, the government would be spruiking it. Rising cases in the UK and Seychelles would suggest that AZ is less effective, or even ineffective, against the Delta variant.
"Mr Hazzard said there was also an aged care worker at the event who received their first dose who also did not contract the virus."

My view from day one of this virus is that it should be a mandatory injection for protection against this "deadly" virus.
Look at the state of the business world, especially the private sector. Government staff still get their huge salary.
Imagine if we did not have mandatory control of all the other major diseases in our life.
The old 80 / 20 rule or it could be 90 /10 rule seems to be in play here.
80% of the people are for vaccination whilst say 20% are against the vaccination.
MAKE IT COMPULSORY. Virus will then be eliminated. so bloody simple.
It cannot be made compulsory JayDee. A government cannot force vaccinations or medical procedures on the citizens under our Constitution.
In some instances they can make decisions where certain people are not allowed to do certain things or visit certain places if they are not vaccinated but they can't force people to be vaccinated. From memory it is located in one of the sub paragraphs of Section 59.

what happened in the child daycare/preschool area do they require vaccines as a condition of being able to attend
Many trades have terms of condition to get a job. You can't drive a truck without a licence. Or fly a plane. Be a doctor even. Although some politicians think they are medical experts. And many of the public.
You can't make them get a vaccine. But you can mandate it as a part of the job requirement.

The first patients in Brazil with the P.1 variant were documented in January 2021 and within a few weeks the variant caused a spike in cases in Manaus, Brazil. The city had already been hard hit by the pandemic in May 2020, and researchers thought that the city's residents had achieved population immunity because so many people in the area had developed antibodies for the virus during that initial wave. Instead, P.1, which has several mutations in the spike protein the virus uses to attach to and invade a host cell, caused a second wave of infections and seemed to have higher transmissibility and be more likely to cause death than the earlier variants seen in the area.
