AAV 4x4's Brett Bolton is hoping to offer a motorhome version of the Gaz Trackmaster within two years, similar to its Fuso Canter 4x4-based Global Explorer, but at the moment its available as a fully-equipped tray back straight out of the box.

"(The motorhome) will probably be built on the long wheelbase version, because the dual-cab and single-cab actually have the same tray, so the dual-cab is just that 800mm longer, so it means we can build a motorhome on the dual-cab chassis but using the single-cab,"

Looks promising but if I were in the market I'd be concerned about spares and the servicing ability of regional/remote mechanics?

 In general,being Russian , it is probably relatively Spartan, Simple and Tough  compared to some other vehicles which tend to be Flash, Complicated and Fragile......

I am led to believe that LDV (a Chinese vehicle), has been made into a motorhome, by a mob in South Australia

I know nothing of this vehicle.

I do agree that while travelling Australia, (on bitumen roads), it would be much better to have simple engine vehicles, than a fancy and fragile one

I have been reading too many stories, about modern motorhomes going into limp mode, which would be inconvenient for the owners

Our 1994 Perkins powered OKA has one wire that makes the engine go or stop, and I KNOW where that wire is :)
