Yep You lot are the reason no one else posts on here anymore. Just a collection of nasty bitter old men looking to upset people and you should be banned. You have ruined this site.

Just had a quick look back through the posts you have made and most of them are in the Covid topics.

So I reckon you might be included as a contender for the banning of Covid contributors as well, but then again if you aren't happy you can select not to come aboard.

In the end, your choice.

I think its simple. They don't get ICU if they need it..

Perhaps poorly put but there is precedent for selective application of restricted availability resources.    A simple example is that of two eligible people wanting to receive the only available organ for transplant.    The drinker who continues to drink will be made second choice (priority) for the available liver.    The smoker who continues to smoke will be prioritised well behind the non-smoker needing a transplanted set of lungs.    Plenty of other examples come to mind.    Applied precedence to the COVID situation, if a hospital was all out of ICU equipment and a vaccinated patient should present, for any condition, then an unvaccinated COVID patient could ethically be denied use of a set of ICU equipment and that set be allocated to the vaccinated patient.

.Sydney woman believed to have caused Newcastle COVID-19 outbreak allegedly lied to police twice.10 hours ago

What chance have we got ?  Apparently this is the source of the virus that also travelled to Armidale and Tamworth via the Newcastle Uni.

The thing I'm sure that a lot of people in this region would like to know is - how was it possible that someone caught twice by authorities breaching a red zone area be allowed to stay and circulate in Lake Mac and Newcastle for 5 full days. The other thing I would like to know is why were licensed venues in Newcastle allowed to remain open when we were right next to a locked down red area that leaked like a sieve ? People I know who work in different venues have been saying for weeks they have had to consistently turn away people coming into the Hunter from red zones. The result is we now have 2 retirement villages (1 death last night) and who knows how many people that attended one of those  venues or parties with the virus and thats not taking into account the impact on Armidale and Tamworth.

All we can do now is follow the lockdown rules but unfortunately as we have seen over the last 18 months Sydney doesn't have a monopoly on idiots who don't think that the rules apply to them. I believe that if a government implements a lockdown they need to get serious about it not this half ar..ed effort that we have seen in Sydney since this outbreak began..God help those people of western NSW or the far north coast who have also been the victims of rule breakers as they dont have anything like the health infrastructure that the bigger regional centres have.

Apparently Bill the girl concerned remained in the area for days after being fined so no its probably not enough to deter some people....

I suppose it had to come, as I am led to believe that some other Countries, are thinking about the same thing

Snip from a news article, and this rule will start as from next Tuesday

Western Australia has further tightened its border restrictions for people coming from high-risk states, requiring proof of at least one COVID-19 vaccination and a negative test result in the last 72 hours.

This information is buried in a live news article

Absolutely it will happen.  I have no problems with it.  All workplaces have a duty of care for their workers. States also have a responsibility for their people.  Lets face it...only the people who dont get vaccinated will be disadvantaged...and I couldn,t care less about that!

From Scott Morrisson....

Scott Morrison said he "welcomes" Western Australia's potential requirement that visitors from NSW be vaccinated before entering the state.

Asked if other states should consider it, the PM said "I do welcome the requirements for vaccination".

"This is for people who are otherwise getting an exemption to come into Western Australia, and the Premier has added that is not unlike the sort of things we have been talking about for some time, where people are vaccinated, and an exemption being given on public health grounds," he added.

"So I think that is really consistent with what the national plan is seeking to achieve, and as I said last week, all Premiers and Chief Ministers agreed to that."

I have no problem with what WA is implementing in terms of proof of vacination as long as they apply the same criteria to the other states if they end up in the same situation. Regardless, the least of my concerns is not what the other states are doing with their border restrictions but what the NSW govt. is doing to bring the outbreak under control. I see that the police are starting to take a harder line with people not following the rules and it will probably only ratchet up.  IMHO the crackdown on rules has come as a result of the pressure being put on the NSW govt. by an extremely angry public. First was the slow reaction to the initial outbreak then their failure to clarify the rules around things like what constitutes an essential business and most of all the perceived lack of enforcement of the Sydney lockdown. The difference between having people in NSW angry about how this outbreak has been handled and having people angry in other states is that we get to vote on whether they keep their jobs and maybe they are starting to realise that..

I dont have an issue with the need for a covid jab to enter WA but for the sake of consistancy the same requirement should apply to all residents, in other words one in all in.

Anti vaxers no jab no work, no play, no travel on public transport, no entry to commercial properties.

Wanda, have just read your latest diatribe.

The Roman derived word forum is, "A medium or meeting where various views on a particular issue can be exchanged "(politely???)

I respect your right to express your views, but when you slag off at others this will inevitably result in return fire.

Your denigration of others on this forum in terms of your choice of words, is not the way to go, by all means push your barrow but do it with respect for those who may not agree with your views. Not content with the abuse of other posters you then have the temerity to tell Cindy how to moderate the forum! One further point, I strongly object to being told that I am a cretin by someone who knows absolutely nothing about me.

With reference to your predicted demise of the GN forum, it was around long before you came on the scene and I venture to say it will be around around when you are long gone.

Having read all of your posts on this and other subjects, may I suggest that, in the light of your opinion of others on this forum, and your apparent reluctance to be polite, the best course for you to take would be to hand Cindy your resignation.
