I am removing the siding from my caravan to do some repairs. Around the edges of the cladding, the manufacturer has used staples in addition to glue/silicone to affix the panels. What is the best way to remove these staples so as to cause minimal damage to the aluminium?
Lever them out with something over panel so it doesnt damage ! Masonite etc ?? Gives better mechanical advantage as far as leverage also . Often used a screwdriver sharpened from one side so it slips up staple !!
Welcome to GN's bushsong,
Aus-Kiwi's methodology is spot on but use a small sharp wood chisel (not screw driver) buy a pack of 4 for about $12 at El-Cheapo Shops.

Yes I found wood chisels I have too thick . Why said to grind down one side screw driver . Even a few rubs on concrete is enough . Horses for coarses and common sense !!
