Feel the same way. Never been so angry at such an obviously incompetent person in such a position. A leader he is NOT.

Let's clarify one thing here: it's not so much about which party to vote for at the next elections but more about getting rid

of this ignoramus, self serving, arrogant hypocritical ass. Happy to never see his stupid condescending smirk at press

future conferences.

Cheers,

Larry

 Yep Larry, my thought exactly

Wa shoud definitely keep them shut. When the idiot here is SA opened up it actually shut down the state Christmas parties New yeat parties cancelled may small business forced to sut as all staff either had covid of were in home quarintine. over 60 people dead since opening up you can see anyone in aged care or visit people in hospital the health system is in meltdown and people go out as little as possible as covid is everwhere and the only information you can get is on social media as the state government stopped releasing exposure sites. In hindsight I should have gone to WA before the idiot here flooded us with covid. My origional plan was to have a family christmas and go to WA in the New Year, but my Christmas was ruined wih family isolating due to covid exposure

I can understand them leaving it closed in WA, its their choice, but surely eventually they will have to open up and then what!!

Maybe they are giving themselves more time to prepare.

BW, I too live in Adelaide and not a fan of the "Idiot", but I think he is probably the best of a bad bunch.....maybe!!

I think we opened too soon here in SA, should have waited until after xmas and when RATs test were available, we blundered that trying to please the minority.

This was said mainly in jest but I think Ivan hit the nail on the head.

Any way, this is all unfolding at a rate that we dont appear to be able to handle but we are so fortunate that throughout all this chaos the *Big Kahoona* kept our international borders open ( even when they were shut) so as to maintain a regular and steady supply of Covid infected travellers jut to keep us all on our toes.

I hear this morning on TV that the fed govt is lifting almost all Covid restrictions applying to our international borders. Their new policy then handballs the final responsibility back again to the states.

So the endless supply of Covid infected travellers continues to burden our communities, our workforces our schools and our already overstressed hospital and medical systems.

In the same report it was suggested by the representative of businesses, either broke or under stress that they need govt financial help.
Less than two months ago these same people were bleating louder than a motherless lamb, that we should open the country.

Throughout this pandemic the airlines have screamed like cut cats and now they are worse off. It was reported since opening the country the Sydney Melbourne link which has gone from the second most lucrative flight in the world to now being the 26th. They report via Jeff Thomas this morning that the Syd Mel link is carrying 10% less passengers than before opening.

As someone mentioned the micro economies which were a result of state closures, although not perfect, were working. All the little communities had their businesses still operating as was evident in many country and regional towns. Not all ideal, but still working.

Not a lot of thought went into this.

Opening up has actually closed us down and still spread Covid resulting in alarming numbers of deaths to every corner of the states involved.

Except WA the smart state.

The problem is covid will never go away, can be controlled by vaccine. Mumps , meales, polio, whooping cough etc are all still around, just kept under control by vacine. Only "safe" solution for WA is stay closed for ever.
What needs to happen if fully fund the hospital system instead of where WA currently at, massive waiting lists now, without covid.

We need to learn to live with covid, keep vaccinated and hope the medical system can look after us as we get older and more vulnerable.
