A scientist both wise and bold set out to cure the common cold.

Instead, he found this power pill "which", he said, "most certainly will,
turn a lamb into a lion.

Like an eagle he'll be flyin'! Solid steel will be like putty. It will work on anybody!"

But it was found this potent pill made the strongest men quite ill.

And so the secret search began to find the one and only man!

What they found made them squeamish, for only Stanley Beamish,

A meek and droopy daffodil, could take the special power pill that sent him soaring through the skies, fighting foes and fighting spies!

When he took the pill specific, it made him the most magnific, prolific, Mister Terrific!

One of my all time favourites as well but did you know Clarky that Moe, Shemp and Curly were actually brothers. Moe, Larry and Shemp were the original 3 Stooges it was only when Shemp left to pursue his own career that they brought in Moe's youngest brother Curly. Curly suffered a stroke and they brought Shemp back for a few episodes and eventually replaced him with Curly Joe to finish filming their contracted episodes..

Its sad to say but I am paying more than $120 a month for Foxtel to watch those old shows repeated over and over again and I have been doing that for the last 22 years.

I remember when the Aunty Jack show went into colour but Aunty Jack himself stayed black and white.

There is a bit more to the BW to Colour story. The change over had to be midnight on the dot, 1st March 1975, but Aunty Jack jumped the gun by 30 seconds.

 

' The notorious "naughty boys" informed the programming department that Aunty Jack's "changeover to colour" would begin at the three-minute mark - but it actually happened two minutes and 30 seconds in. "The ABC went to colour half a minute before midnight," Bond says, "beating all the other channels who played by the rules." '

What I remember in the early days of colour TV, everyone wound up the colour saturation to 11!

It makes colour TVs today look pretty anaemic.

What about the radio show, Gregory Keen- 26 hours and Hop Harrigan

Blue Hills was almost a religion at lunch time. Our local community radio 107.3 fm is now playing Dad and Dave 4 days a week, oh gawd it is pretty sad.

Crusader Rabbit and Raglan T Tiger, watched it before school, early sixties when my dad first bought a TV... Every time I see a Crusader Caravan, I think of Crusader Rabbit, hehe.
