I dont know what the majority think but it appears to me that there exists a section of our human race that wants to promote and support any radical belief or obnoxious action that comes to their attention.
I wonder when the majority are going to act against all media promoting this type of behaviour including social media.
This is freedom of speech at its worst. Isnt it amazing how this freedom has been manipulated by the woke to once again, suit someone radical agenda.
I personally find the linked articles far more disturbing than I do with a comment / joke about a Tv personality having a spray tan or wearing make up.
Gone are the days when depravity was kept away from public display. Sad times indeed.
I think the day will come when the other 98% will tire of being dictated to by these 2%, and all their hard-won gains will be stamped out. It's already happening in the EU. Witness the rise of the right wing in Hungary and Italy. The other states will eventually follow suit. These "alphabet" lobbies need to proceed cautiously. Social upheaval leads to polarisation and violence. They risk alienating their supporters, or at least those people who have come to tolerate them.

Lets all hope you are correct dorian.
I just wonder why this crap is continually pushed at us in Australia.
Gone are the days when depravity was kept away from public display. Sad times indeed. ......
It is interesting that the social customs of our country and our upbringing determine what we believe is depravity. In some countries what constitutes depravity is very different from our perceptions.
In today's news, there is a story of a woman who was imprisoned for wearing clothes that showed her body shape. How depraved was she! Yet if we lived in that country we would probably be agreeing with that and complaining about the push for more western traditions.
In Australia, homosexuality was considered depraved not so long ago. The tide has now turned and the person who objects to it is now the odd one out.
To answer Dorians original question.
I dont understand and I have no plans to learn.
I also agree with Rob and Magnarc in that the question needs to be asked and as to the necessity of this content on this forum.
I find this content much more offensive to than some other comments that take place from time to time.

I thought it was now compulsory....

Morality and standards of behaviour are, and always have been, a function of the individual culture - this is right, proper and obvious it seems to me. eg. In Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) public behandings and beheadings are still carried out in public on a Friday - we disapprove of such behaviour. On many Western beaches women wander around with uncovered breasts - they disapprove of such behaviour.
Such different approaches to behaviour will likely never be reconciled and is a large part of the reason multi-cultural societies will never properly integrate and, at best, be disparate groups living in proximity who simply tolerate one-another at best or have frequent violent conflicts at worse.
It is a deceptive paradox that many "Woke" individuals espouse tolerance for all but will never be tolerant of many practices of other cultures and to accommodate this dichotomy simply ignore them or pretend they don't exist; cognitive dissonance at its best.

Nah, I don't think that is too likely. The way we are headed there will be too many questions on how to determine what sex the animal identifies as, and how to determine if "they" have given consent.
I was personally bemused by your original post, which highlights the hyprocisy of the trans lobby.
At the weekend, on a balmy autumn day in Burlington, Vermont, the civil war engulfing what used to be called the 'gay-rights movement' stepped up a gear. Seventy-four-year-old Fred Sargeant, one of the most venerable pioneers of gay rights, was surrounded by a jeering mob of trans activists, knocked to the ground, robbed and spat on. At a Pride march.
Sargeant is one of the last survivors of the Stonewall riots -- the uprising that gave birth to the modern gay-rights movement. The day after the first riot at the Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village, New York, Sargeant and his boyfriend, Craig Rodwell, wrote a set of demands that became the Stonewall manifesto. They then went on to organise the first ever Pride in New York.
Little good that did him at the weekend. Sargeant was repeatedly slapped on the head so hard that he had to go to hospital and have CAT scans. His attackers ignored the fact he walks with a cane, frail from a recent illness. There is a cruel irony to the fact that this happened at a Pride march -- the very march that Fred and his comrades established to challenge violent homophobia. More striking still is that this was at the hands of trans activists, the very people who today claim to be the successors of the gay-rights movement.

As far as I am concerned they can identify themselves as a chicken if that's what floats their boat, provided they leave me alone and don't try to insist that I have to consider them somehow normal.
