The daughter of one of our friends bought a pub on a main highway in outback NSW.
Her & her husband ran it for a while until the "romance" wore off.
They couldn't sell it so they put someone else in it & they went off to work elsewhere.

On our last trip out there we timed our run to stop at Stonehenge for a Pub lunch but were disappointed to find that they didn't open until the evening.   So we just had our usual sangers & coffee and continued on our way to Jundah.

I think that there was a caravan Park just over the road in the main street.  Perhaps we should have stopped but as it turned out Jundah was a good spot too.

The whole region was in unbelievable condition with knee high grass & all the creeks had running water.  The best western country that we have seen for a long time.

Lets hope that the young guys make a go of it.

BTW.  1km outside of Jundah is a fantastic bush camp along the Thomson River.   Dozens of private 'drive through' sites along the river bank.  Great for kayaking too.
