Yep, we have a habit of holding some people on a 'pedestal' because they played a popular sport
and were reasonably good at it. Never mind that they behaved like complete tossers off the field.

My guess is that if the truth be known, many are on it ( even maybe the wayward wife of the other bloke)
Some are smart about it and others arent.

I have a cousin that for many years worked and lived in his home town.
From her reports his childhood was a battle to say the least.
It is a shame that such a skilful person lets themselves down in life, but I also wonder just how much certain drugs had on his playing skill throughout his playing career.
Unless proven otherwise drugs appear to still remain a part of his life.
Unfortunately the use by many other players in our football codes may be a sad fact. A certain WCE player comes to mind.
