Territory (The Car , not the place!)

Does anyone have any experience/advise re using a Ford Territory (AWD , Petrol) as a tow car on long distance , leisurely travel? Towing 1000kg unit plus load.

Ta - Rob.

RobUbby,

I owned a 2004 Territory Ghia AWD and my brother has owned 2 x Territory Diesels . I have never towed anything greater than 700 kgs and it handled it well but to this day it is still the most
Comfortable vehicle I have ever driven. Very good for long distance touring . It did have some problems mechanically unfortunately, Front ball joints keep wearing out and needed replacement 3 times in 10 years. Later versions fixed this fault. All the Electronic Door locks replaced at varying times, approx $450 at a time and after 250,000 kms all the rubber bush's in the suspension needed replacement which worked our approx $2500. BUT , fabulous car to drive. Still love it , Traded it in on a VW Touareg TDI.
