As an avid test match watcher, (the pure game of cricket) I feel that a couple of points need to be made regarding the commentators reference to Smithy equalling Bradmans record of 29 test hundreds.
Smithy is a great cricketer love watching him bat but, I offer a little bit of perspective on the remarks.
Bradman played in 55 tests and made 29 hundreds, and his bat was a lot narrower and lighter than present day ones!
Smithy has played in 87 tests for his 29.
That being said, I loved watching Smithy and Marnus bat yesterday, just wish that they could have got a couple of wickets late in the day.

Whoops!. Hit a raw nerve there.
I have enough intelligence not to get involved in a slanging match with a well known stirrer. So go ahead and have the last word, I will not be indulging you any further on this thread, I have better things to do with my time.

Willow on Leather in Don's day was a totally different scene compared to today's test teams and matches, and played with Gentlemen's Rules (even with the body line bowling).
That being said; Smithy is a brilliant batsmen and a pleasure to watch, which is what the game is supposed to be all about. Teamed with Usman a delightful way to spend a summer day.

I don't understand why the Aussies didn't make the Windies follow on. 315 runs ahead and we bat again, for how long? Do we leave enough time to bowl them out again?
They seem to want to give the bowlers a rest, though they only bowled a max of 22 overs each and had about an hours play left. Too soft these days, a batsman's game.
Walking and playing the 18 is pure pleasure, playing well or not makes no difference. Much more satisfying than just sitting watching. Bit like couch potatoes
