By only one run Craig but only takes one to win. They played well right through to the quarter finals and I'm very proud of each and every one. Even though David Nilsson, the team manager and I have had a few run ins over the years, he did well to get them as far as he did. (Did I just praise him? I must be sick)
My Atlanta Braves are up and down during their Spring Training games but when winning, win big. I'm looking forward to the season proper.
I'll give you a toot as I go flying past late tomorrow morning heading up to NSW Riverina mate.

Well, after last nights effort we can be sure that neither Carlton or Richmond will be on the top of the comp ladder after the end of first round.
I watched a bit of it on the tv and I am glad I didnt line up with the other 88,000 people to attend in person.
IMO apart from the lead changing at each quarter, it was not much of a spectacle.
Hey Rick, give Carlton a go, they need to be up there this year, been too long. Haven't worn any of their stuff for a couple of years or so, damn moths might be in it by now

I really feel that 2023 will be the biggest test for Carltons new coach.
While he was a brilliant player in the day, his coaching performance at Brisbane was dismal to say the least.
IMO his performance at Port Adelaide was patchy considering that their midfield list for much of his tenure had many very good players.
Lets hope his long term stint at the Power had him learning from the endless procession of other field coaches that Port seem to have happen on a yearly basis.
Hold in there SC you might have your colours out again before you know it.
On paper Carltons list for 2023 is pretty good.

Rick I have said it before and will repeat it again here that a coach never plays the game, it's the players themselves. If they aren't performing then how can a coach tell them what to do

Don't support Storm, but at least they're a team that plays real football, as opposed to a bunch of "players" running around in circles playing Aerial Ping-pong. Cheers
Storm a bit down on form and players at the moment, they will improve, the new kids on the block, or in the water have started well though.
Fine Demons win, btw.
Don't worry mate, I have very reliable intel that we are just giving all those other mobs a false sense of security.
Now, a real top sport is about to get under way at months end now that spring training is nearly over. Baseball. My Atlanta Braves will keep every on their toes.

Hi guys, woe is me! I fear that what I said in an earlier post could be happening to the Cats. Have watched every game this year and you wouldn't think that they were the same side that won the flag last year. The next two or three matches will tell the story. Saw the Dees fix up the Swannies, they look light the real deal.

I fear the Cats are too old too slow is a reality this year
Thanks Doug. It would be a pleasure to do that although there's not a lot of AFL followers around here. Most of them follow that other game, think it's called NRL
