A principal of a Florida school has been forced to resign after a parent complained that sixth-grade students were exposed to pornography.

 

The complaint arose from a Renaissance art lesson where students were shown Michelangelo's statue of David.

If you have been around Italian museum it's open to anyone of any age. Including school tours.

 

In Naples museum there is a adult section with "very interesting" pornographic mosaics from Pompeii. Still open to children but must be accompanied by an adult.

 It is probably difficult to hide a full collection of pornographic ( your word) mosaics under the mattress but on thinking further it would be even more embarrassing for anyone openly displaying their complete satisfaction while viewing the display in any museum.

You just cant *unsee* anything like that if viewed in real life. biggrin

Since I was a child I have been utterly baffled as to why anyone would find the naked human form embarrassing or offensive - it is largely a cultural thing it seems.

My (ex)wife and I often wandered around the house naked thus our children were well familiar with the variations of the male/female bodies and they seem to have developed into fairly normal adults.

I suspect in many people's minds nudity directly equates to sexual activity and it's that which they find confronting.

However, and most interestingly, when people are given permission and social justification to be nude in front of strangers they seem to jump at it:

One day I was cleaning our windows inside & out reaching gingerly across the glass hanging on by one hand 4 floors up. I usually wear clothes, don't want to embarrass myself.

 

Anyway we look into the neighbour's lounge & she starts vacuuming, thoroughly cleaning everything up off the floor, bending over in the briefest of lace undies almost leaving cheek marks on the inside of her window, I was surprised how flexible she was. How I didn't fall 4 floors I can't explain!
