I saw a similar monster in the Showgrounds at Goondiwindi a few years ago. Perhaps the open spaces of Showgrounds are a better option than the more restrictive CPs.

It was pulled by a Prime Mover, like you see pulling semi trailers.

There were often very large rigs like this at Sydney Lakeside CP. Narrabeen, although mostly mega MotorHomes with multiple slide outs. Lots of very large sites there.

I suppose that if you could afford such a rig, the fuel costs wouldn't be a consideration.

Biggest one I saw was in Italy in a "camping" ground. The front of the bus raised up about half a metre on a hydraulic system so the rear would drop so the car could be winched into the back of the bus. The owner had a washing machine & clothes dryer in one on the side lockers which we had seen the day before.

 

It made our 2 man tent & Fiat 500 look a touch cramped!
