That's why I bought a motor bike recently, to do what I did 30 year ago. Yes I have ridden a bit since, but last proper ride 5 years ago. Now 63, want to do some more riding before it is too late, as well as my wife has just started using the Royal Doulton dinner set again, if not it will probably end up getting chucked by the kids.

Seems age is no problem? Brother is 66 and still races 3 or 4 different bikes, at least one being over 200 horse power! Too fast for this little duck though. Cheers

The dinner set is worth over $10k, have told the child this, but you know children?

So why not sell it to someone who may appreciste it, I'm sure you could do something with $10k to make you happy.

Eating of a $10k dinner set, really!

Eating of a $10k dinner set. That would be most interesting to watch. Wonder if the eating of this $10k dinner set would be off another dinner plate? Cheers

No worries Jeff, but I like to at least try to speak Proplee Inglish. However, thankyou for your sarcastic adulation. Cheers

And thats exactly why I still ride as much as I can. 71 this year and still enjoy it as much as I did 50 years or more ago.....and on 43 registered bikes so far ... (Not all at once either ). Only thing that has changed is the bikes got a wee bit smaller and lighter as I got more mature....currently ride a 650 adventure bike.

Cheers  Keith

Good onya KB. Was crossing the Nullabor when it still had a decent dirt section on my water bucket (GT750 Suzuki) when I met a young Japanese bloke at the halfway station roadhouse. He was on his way to Melbourne having got that far from Perth on his Honda 50 step thru. Sold my last Ducati two years ago.

Yes it is basically...ie...KLR 650 based mechanically....but is actually a Tengai which has more and different bodywork....different brakes and suspension...and is getting to be rare and  quite collectable. Mine is the very last of them...a late 92 model....and I still ride it as much as I can....but mosly blacktop and good dirt roads....both formed and bush ones....just dont do any harsh stuff with it. I have a quad bike for that.

I would like it if you could keep me up to speed on your Himalayan please.. how you are finding out stuff about it and your impressions etc....as I am sort of considering club plating my Tengai and replacing it with one of these.

Cheers  Keith
