Well said. Although unlikely, I'd love to still be here when this "Climate Change" rubbish is exposed as the biggest con-job in history.

"You can fool some of the people all of the time.                                                                                                                             .                And all of the people some of the time.                                                                                                                          .                But you'll never fool all of the ,people all of the time."

Unfortunately the numbers of gullible people, clearly unable to reason, or think logically, are in the millions.

The opinions of many typify what has happened over recent years, people becoming a bunch of sheep too lazy, or stupid, to do their own research and just going with the flow while having no understanding of the implications. Sad, but true.

NO Cheers here. Very Sad.

I read the other day that 2023 is the hottest year on record. It was also stated that the ten hottest years on record all have occurred since 2010. Apparently last week was the hottest day ever recorded when all maximum temperatures were averaged throughout the world. I wonder what is causing this. The majority of scientists have a theory but I dont know if they own a caravan so what would they know.

My family were snowed in for a week in 75 or 76 in Charlotte Pass, great, more skiing!

Other half in from Germany, she showed me photos in Black Forest. Back then you could get a metre of snow on the car & couldn't get out of the house. These recent years often in winter there is no snow to speak of.

Relatives over there are now seriously thinking of putting in air conditioning.

Europe is in a summer heatwave at the moment. We were in southern France and had a week of 43°C. The buildings are designed for cold weather. I said at the time, it's the last time I complain about Sydney summer temperatures.

They insist on recording the temp in Canberra @ 3.30am this morning as 9.3 degrees C and 2.7 degrees C as the App Temp. There was no way it was 9.3 degrees. We had a frost!!! even 2.7 degrees is a bit iffy for frost. No wonder changing the way past and present temps are recorded support their agenda. Whatever that is I haven't worked out as yet.

Just like the article about the big SUV's. I could have sworn there were quite a few around back 15yrs ago. Of course it was exacerbated by the demise of car manufacturing (particularly utes) However, sadly the youngsters who have not been around long enough to remember will take it as written.

It was mighty frosty. With a Recorded temperature of 9.3 at 5.30am in Canberra. How is that so? and,

sadly the youngsters who have not been around long enough to remember will take it as written.

Basher what you fail to consider that we are not Climate Deniers but Climate Realists, there are plenty of scientist that dispute the ponifications of the opposing scientists, and then your have the brainwashed non scientific cheerleaders like Chris Bowen and John Kerry.

There are plenty of scientist that debunk the climate change frenzy, but you like the bandwagon riders and the dont let the fact get in the way of a good story media, only see one side of the information.

The activist class if there is a flood, fire, cyclone or drought, they claim it to be caused by climate change, but historical evidence prove that wrong. Its just a weather event remember Dorothea MacKellers poem My Country written in 1908 "A land of sweeping plains, Of ragged mountain ranges, Of droughts and flooding rains. ... ".

Maybe you could temper your combative language  and accept that I and others are not gullible the one's but the activists and cheerleaders are.

Dorothea Mackellar was a poet and fiction writer and as I recall was not a recognised or qualified scientist when she wrote that poem in 1904. It is a bit like claiming something as factually correct because you saw it in a movie. Although extreme climate has occurred in the past, what the majority of scientists are claiming is that there are more extreme weather patterns occurring in our era with more frequency. The fact that there may also be extremely cold weather is just part of the pattern. I am no expert but I do accept the opinions of people who are qualified to give one. I wonder what the sceptics and debunkers claim as their special qualification to dismiss the view of the majority of qualified people.

Qualified to give one" you suggest. Have you considered "Paid to make the desired comments", as few alleged scientists are going to bite the hand that feeds them.

Similar situation to motoring magazines giving unbiased "reviews" on cars that are supplied by manufacturers that advertise in their magazine. Yeah, right. Cheers

My take on the article is that in April there was a prediction that climate factors COULD lead to a poor season. Current readings are that one place in NSW is well above average, while Victoria is a little above average. My experience has shown that the quality of the season is dependent on rain and temps in April/May to get the ground cold and wet and so hold any snow that falls. That has happened this year.
Many thanks to those contributors who have indicated that this wrong prediction indicates that there is no such thing as global warming. I now know that I can ignore all I read about it and that all the news about the current extreme weather conditions in the northern hemisphere are all fake news and can be ignored.
Instead of worrying about it all I need to do is go to my backyard and build a sandpit so I can stick my head in it and all the world problems will go away.

After 35 years of 2 weeks a year, and a couple of full seasons as a lodge manager, my skiing days are over on economic grounds. At $1000 for a 5 day lift pass as well as the travel and accommodation it is beyond my means. It is much cheaper to go on a cruise ( and easier on the old knees).

No, just plain stupid, in my opinion as well as your other mates with similar views who won't listen to science.

It would not matter who presents the case for climate warming, you are just not interested in listening and will never change your view. But you still are entitled to it right or wrong

I just hope you don't have kids or grand kids because I can just imagine what they will be saying about dear old dad or granddad in years to come, starts with s and ends in d.

Your post above is laughable

Have a good day

Which scientists are being paid to make false claims Yobarr? Can you name a few please. Are you suggesting some of the worlds leading academics and scientists are wilfully peddling untruths. The debunkers that appear in the media. Are they doing it for free or do they get an appearance fee. I dont know the answer but I am sure you and your disbelieving mate have your fingers on the pulse, so to speak.

Unfortunately too common everywhere, not just on forum threads.

The ability to argue a position without resorting to name calling, abuse or bullying is getting lost very quickly.

Unfortunately, some people post unfounded comments based solely on their views and when questioned as to the factual basis for their comments the silence is deafening. This seems to prompt their fan club to ride to the rescue for a bit of group handwringing. This is the bloke that refers to everyone as sheep because they follow the views of the majority of scientists and not his and his sidekicks deluded views.

Could not agree more DMaxer, and then they start accusing you of bullying etc etc.

Every one is entitled to an opinoin but it has to be based on true facts, common sense and heaven forbid scientific fact, accepted by the MAJORITY of scientist throughout the world and not from a handfull of loonies!

When the case for climate warming/change/cooling, or what ever is supported by the BOM numbers I reported above, one has to question what the motive is and also why.

An early morning OFFICIAL record by the government's own department and used to report comparing numbers this one should come up as the hottest winter morning in history that had the ability to produce frost (which is a phenomenon in itself.)

If used as a basis for their notorious models and projections it surely would skew the predictions. Admittedly this may be a one-off recording, but I have often wondered other times when temperatures have been reported.

At best this is careless? and the reporting raises doubts about the veracity of all other numbers and the conclusions drawn.

Overtime these numbers will remain on public record and become gospel and the basis for the most expensive and detrimental action.

Just one small example. was it intentional or a mistake?

I don't think climate change focuses on "weather" Canberra's readings are whatever, I feel you think there is some big conspiracy re climate change/warming, why, what is there to be gained?
About 90% of scientists throughout the world all seem to agree, why are so many forumites in denial.
Even IF they are wrong isn't it better to assume the billions of people on this planet with all the polution we create are NOT doing some damage, you really don't have to be a brain surgeon or scientist to realise that as a fact, end of story.
You have kids, grand kids, or great grand kids, THINK OF THEM, THEY ARE GOING TO HAVE TO FIX OUR MISTAKES
