EV's again !

What does a person with diarrhea and an electric car have in common?

They both hope they make it home.

When the manufacturers can guarantee that:

A. The battery will not burst into flames.

B. That the vehicle will travel for 500klms without charge.

C. That the vehicle is capable of towing a 3 tonne caravan.

D. The companies who install charging points can prove that there are enough of these around the country.

E. That the electricity used in charge sites is of a reasonable cost.

Then, maybe I would consider buying one but, not if the company meeting these requirements is Chinese owned no matter how cheap they are.

In the words of the Chief who resides in the aluminium teepee,

Just sayin'. (hope all is well with you Chief)

Hi Phil.. What about adding "When the Gummint can guarantee enough electricity to recharge the batteries" to your list?

Given looming electricity shortages it'd be a brave man, or a dipstick, who relied on the necessary power supply. Cheers

And the doubling of insurance premiums in the UK, massive depreciation in value and coming restrictions on parking and charging in high rise carparks etc.

ps, did you hear the joke about a Tesla 3 driver who backed down the boat ramp to launch his new jet ski and submerged his model T which then began burning underwater? ...no wait...that's a video I watched yesterday ;)

Hey guys.
The diarrhea and make it home jokes are not that funny for one with Ulcerative Colitis !!!! (Joking, but can be daunting).
A mate told me not so long ago EV's immersed in floodwaters end their careers immediately - correct ?
Haven't tested my new hi rider Isuzu diesel ute in water yet but will back it against any pooncey EV.
The only EV I ever intend to pilot is a gopher when too old and crotchetty to walk
