Had our van weighed

Today I had our van and tow vehicle weighed by Dion of Weigh station based in Bannockburn. He came up to Ballarat.

Our tow vehicle is a 2019 Parjero and van is a 17 1/2 foot pop top Jayco.

Passed well within compliance weights. Dion said Parjeros can be tricky because of the low rear axel weight.

Thought it would be OK, but nice to have the documentation in case of an accident.

Service in 5 days time and then waiting to go to FNQ in the winter. Probably will do a few more trips around Vic. to fill in time.

Collo.

Low rear axle weight and stupidly short wheelbase are the main problems, but you'll be fine as your van is a smaller model.

From memory, rear axle capacity is a piddly 1600kg but you can check that on weighbridge.

With van attached and ready to travel drive car's  front axle onto weighbridge, take weight and drive forward until both axles of car are on weighbridge.

Take weight. Now deduct front axle weight from total weight to get rear axle weight.Easy stuff. Enjoy your travels. Cheers
