Just walk around western Sydney shopping malls. A very common sight are women early twenties with make-up applied by trowel. Tights complete with camel toe, 10cm heels, duck lips, nipples poking - but the mandatory headscarf for "modesty".
Often accompanied by mother, wearing black floor length gown, husband's socks and plastic sandals, again mandatory head scarf. Pretending to be a letterbox.

I think you are being modest there. Makeup is in applied in the volume of sprayed concrete swimming pool construction.
Other half went to Yemen 4 times (simply because she was interested in the country... so I was told). I only wish she would start wearing a fraction of the type of underwear that the Yemenis' girls do (I have bought expensive silk underwear for her (maybe from the wrong admirer!)), under their tents!
On the other hand maybe better not to wish, probably I would have a heartattack, better to pace oneself "within reason" for a marathon!
