You could always purchase a water jug that has a small carbon filter cartridge in the base.

We use a 10" twin filter system in the OKA that is after the RV pump and before the taps.
The first cartridge is a 5um sediment filter just to keep most of the muck from the second cartridge which is a 0.5um carbon block filter.
The RV pump is quite adequate to operate it with plenty of flow.
The whole thing costs less than $100 and a pair of replacement filters costs under $40 about once a year.

I tend to purchase according to the specification, not the brand.
Good quality carbon block filters can cost upwards from $35 each. That is the important one. I have purchased the sediment filters at under $5 each.
The attraction to these filters is that the replacement cartridges are readily available, even from Bunnings.

It is also important that the water in your tanks is chlorinated. If it is not chlorinated town water when we fill, we add extra chlorine.

I've looked into this before, but the cost of the cartridges seem extraordinary. But given the odd places we fill our tanks from, I think a water filter on the drinking water tap would be a good idea.

 Yesterday I purchased some replacement cartridges from Freshwater Systems Australia in Adelaide.

10 x 5um sediment filters @ about $3.50 each.

5 x 0.5um active carbon block @ about $20 each.
