I was not going to post again, but maybe this thread has not been closed because the conversation has been civil. Let's make sure it stays that way.

I would like to respond to Magnarc's comments about tariffs. For years, the slogan has been MAGA .... Make America Great Again. The focus is, and should be who he represents, and that is Americans. We need the US to prosper. Without the US at the top of tree, who would be our protector? China is next on the tree? China as protector? Ha ha.

I believe China is the primary target of tariffs, to reduce their stranglehold on world manufacturing. In our case, perhaps tariffs may be imposed on our goods and to our cost. That may be a small price to pay for helping to keep our ally and protector at the top. If they are not at the top, what chance do we have of protection then?

Whatever the case, don't criticise someone for doing what they promised .... MAGA.

A new word, I had to look it up, so I must be one.

Lucky you, me, and many many others who are unburdened by a socialist lefty University education. Most of us are pronoun free clear thinkers.

"Unburdened by education". LOL. Yes, that would describe those in Trump's camp. You sure got that right. I'll have to add that to my lexicon.

It really tests my belief in democracy when morons elect a moron.

Explaining observed behaviour by alluding to IQ levels does not really fly with me.    I do see that Trumps largest single supporter demographic is reported as poorly educated white males.    In contrast, Harris largest single supporter demographic was/is in women with at least a Bachelors Degree.    Pretty easy to suggest there is a gulf between the supporters groups when it comes to Critical Thinking skills.    You could probably argue that educational attainment is correlated with IQ.

Maybe a Uni Degree makes you think your smart, but there are a lot of dumb people who have a degree. just compare the current president and our PM both have lived in a political bubble for the majority of their adult life, with no real life experiance, both have a uni degree but boy both of them are not smart.

Ok I maybe a bit harsh, how many members of the current government has run owned a business, you would be lucky to find 2.

DJT could talk about policies where KH could talk a great word sslad, Trump done a 3 hour podcast with Joe Rogan without notes, Harris squibed out wanted Joe to come to her and limit it to 1 hour and most likely wanted the question sent to her in advance, one TV interview Kamala's minders shut done the interview down early as she was starting to word salad responses.
