Now three terrorist apologists in this thread.

If you people had been in France in 1940 you'd have been asserting "The Germans are not so bad."

Frankly; I am disgusted by your sort - no courage to stand up against evil.

An apologist for everything. Oh my god. I dont know the history of radical islam but I believe it started in the 6th century CE. Im sure Joshs Mum never shot anyone, bombed anyone, three gay people off buildings or even flew planes into buildings. She probably was an advocate for womens rights , brought up a wonderful son. She probably never kidnapped and raped a school load of innocent girls in Africa and didnt marry her cousin or brother. How dare you bring his Mum into this, youre disgusting.

So he was radicalised as a teenager (he was born in 2001).

Your post highlights why the main points of Frydenberg's speech make so much sense ...... stop the radicalisation by taking multiple actions. If Frydenbergs action plans has been in place for years this almost certainly would not have happened.

From Wikipedia.

As a teenager, he followed radical Islamic preacher[69] Wissam Haddad, who was found to have violated Australia's racial hatred laws in 2025. (refer to Wikipedia for more).

For his actions, Wissam Haddad was ordered to take down his lectures. What a dreadful punishment.

Wissam Haddad must remove lectures from social media

So if Frydenberg had his way, that preacher and others like him would be in prison or would not otherwise be spreading such views of hatred. So Naveed Akram would have much more limited situations for him to be radicalised. Apart from trying to pick holes in the speech and detract from the main message, do you agree that focusing on reducing radicalisation should be the primary target? Which of Frydenberg's proposed actions to address growing radicalisation do you disagree with? What approaches would you take?

Why do we not hear such words of wisdom from the PM and his team? Nothing to suggest any action is seriously being considered. Just waffly speech and kneejerk reactions about increased gun regulations.

"Now three terrorist apologists in this thread."

They move among us........

Also the NSW "senator" who marched a few months ago in the front row with a terrorist flag filmed a row or two back from where he was showing his "support" in the front row.

He has gone strangely quiet......
Should be made to go a lot quieter - sacked from the NSW senate would be a good start.

Who are you calling an apologist and who is "us"?

You are not the spokesperson for this forum. If I want to express a view that is contrary to yours or your political beliefs I will do so.

Your accusations are offensive. Not all Muslims are terrorists, as you would want us to believe. And not all Wehrmacht soldiers were Nazis, as you seem to be implying. If anyone is to be despised, it's bigots like you.

And everybody else has the same right as you.

Glad to see you edited out your name calling remark

That is true.

But all terrorists seem to be Muslims.

Martin Bryant would be a terrorist by today's standards, as would Timothy McVeigh. Then there's the neo-Nazi terrorist in Norway some years back. So not all terrorists are Muslims, although they are the most organised.

Islam is the only religion that preaches any other religion is infidels, death to infidels. If they cannot tolerate us why should we tolerate them.

In an earlier life a few years back I was part of our countrys counter terrorist task force.

These days I would count many of our politicians as terrorists for the damage they are causing our country.

During WW2, my mother and father were interned in a Nazi camp. Despite that experience, they had German friends. My brother's godfather was a Wehrmacht soldier who was conscripted into the German army when Hitler annexed Austria.

My GP is a Pakistani, one of my dentists was an Iraqi, and the last hospital doctor who treated my mother was a Palestinian. My work and university colleagues included many people from Lebanon, Iran and other countries in the Middle East. It's true that most terrorist acts today are perpetrated by radical Islamists, but when I feel like venting my rage against Muslims in general, I stop and think about all these people.

As for religion in general, I'm an atheist who would gladly eradicate all religions, starting with Islam. Christianity would be next, and you only need to look at the religious right in America to understand why.
